Ingredients
16ozTomato Sauce
1cupKetchup
1/2cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2cupBourbon
1/2cupMaple Syrup
1/4cupBrown Sugar
2tbspWorcestershire Sauce
1tbspSoy Sauce
1tbspDijon Mustard
1tbspSmoky Paprika
2tsp Garlic Powder
2tspSalt
1tspBlack Pepper
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to a medium sized pot over medium heat.
Whisk everything together and let the sauce come to a light simmer (do not boil).
Once it begins to simmer, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture continue to cook for 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Remove the sauce from the heat and let it rest until it comes to room temperature before storing. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Smoking Instructions
To add a smoky flavor, add the cooked sauce to a aluminum pan and place onto the smoker at 225 F. Use your favorite wood and allow it to smoke for 30-45 min. Remove and let it cool fully before storing.
