Author Bon Appeteach

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour sifted
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 12 oz. Hard Cider room tempertature
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 4 tbsp Butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. and grease a bread loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, measure and sift 3 cups of flour. Then stir in the 3 tsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of salt.
  • To the center of the flour mixture, pour in the room temperature (must be room temp) hard cider and then the honey.
  • Gently fold the cider and honey into the flour until the foam subsides and the mixture becomes a tacky dough. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the greased bread pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Carefully pour the melted butter over the top so it spread out as evenly across the top of the dough.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the dough is set and golden brown and the center comes out clean with a toothpick.
  • Let cool for 1 hour before removing from the loaf pan. Slice and serve as desired.

Notes

Keep the bread stored in an airtight container on the counter for 2-3 days or in the fridge for 5-7 days.
