Why This Recipe Works:
Up Your Dip Game: All throughout the year, I am looking for reasons to serve up a new and flavorful dip. Your next holiday get together or family reunion, you absolutely have to bring this pepperoncini dip! This dip recipe takes flavor up a notch by balancing the rich cream cheese and sour cream with tangy pepperoncinis and spicy diced jalapeños! The combination of flavors make this pepperoncini dip recipe seriously addicting!
Goes with Everything: Seriously, pepperoncini dip is delicious with everything. It can be used as a dip or a spread! Dip with toasted bread, crackers, tortilla chips or pita chips. Or, spread it on your favorite sandwiches and wraps for so much added flavor!
Are Pepperoncinis Spicy?
Pepperoncinis are generally not spicy. They have just a hint of spice, and are perfectly tangy and add loads of flavor to this dip! The jalapeños in this dip are going to be a bit spicier. To make your pepperoncini dip recipe less spicy, remove the seeds from the peppers. For more spice, keep them in!
Supplies Needed:
- Sauté Pan
- Baking Dish
Ingredients:
- Cream Cheese: Softened to room temperature so that it is easy to stir!
- Sour Cream: Sour cream adds extra creaminess here.
- Pepperoncinis: Use a jar of sliced pepperoncinis, drained.
- Pickled Jalapeños: Dice them up to have little bites of spicy jalapeño in there!
- Yellow Onion: For a depth of savory flavor.
- Red Pepper: Red pepper adds color and crunch!
- Garlic: Freshly minced garlic works best here.
- Mozzarella: Shredded mozzarella will be nice and melty in the dip!
- Parmesan Cheese: For extra cheesy goodness!
- Italian Seasoning: Or a combo of dried basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme and marjoram!
- Red Pepper Flakes: For an extra bit of spice.
- Salt: To taste.
- Panko Bread Crumbs: Adds texture!
How To Make Pepperoncini Dip:
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Sauté Veggies: In a pan over medium heat, cook the red pepper, onion and minced garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Mix: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, pepperoncinis, jalapeños, the cooked vegetable mixture, shredded mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and spices together and mix well until combined.

What To Serve With It?
You can serve this pepperoncini dip recipe with a plethora of dippable sides like toasted bread, crackers, and chips. It would also take crudité like carrots, celery, cucumbers, and broccoli to a whole new level!
But don’t stop there, you can also serve this dip as a spread by pairing it with your favorite sandwiches and wraps!
Recipe Variations:
- Creamy Base Layer: To lighten things up a bit, you can use low fat cream cheese and substitute the sour cream for plain greek yogurt.
- Peppers: If you aren’t a fan of spice, omit the jalapeños entirely! And if you don’t like red pepper, you can replace it with a different pepper or omit it. I don’t recommend omitting the pepperoncinis since they give this dip its unique flavor!
- Spices: You can make your pepperoncini dip recipe without any spice by omitting the red pepper flakes!
