- Buffalo Sauce: Frank’s RedHot is the traditional choice, but any buffalo sauce works well.
- Shredded Mozzarella & Cheddar: The combination provides perfect balance – mozzarella for stretch, cheddar for sharp flavor.
- Spices: To season up this buffalo chicken dip, you will need garlic powder, kosher salt, onion powder, dried dill and black pepper!
Preparation and Baking
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Blend the Base: In a blender (or with an immersion blender) combine the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and ranch dressing. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Mix with Remaining Ingredients: Combine the blended cottage cheese mixture with the shredded chicken, green onions, buffalo sauce, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, and the dried spices together in a bowl.
- Top with More Cheese: Once fully mixed, transfer it to a 8×8 ban or 9 inch round baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake: Bake the high protein buffalo chicken dip for 20-25 minutes or until the top is melted and the sides are bubbly. You can broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving. Pair with crackers, tortilla chips, pita chips, and celery and carrots.
