Frozen Apple Cider Mimosa
A delicious apple cider champagne cocktail. An ideal fall or Thanksgiving mimosa recipe to share with family and friends.
I love a good holiday cocktail to share with family and friends when hosting. This is a perfect transitional drink to start the party but it isn’t so boozy that you don’t enjoy your night.
This drink is a nice balance of classic fall flavors with a delicious and refreshing spiced apple cider, but is frozen and then blended with a few other key ingredients to make the perfect fall cocktail.
You can serve this all fall and winter long for breakfast, brunch, or a celebratory champagne cocktail.
My favorite part of using frozen cider in this drink? It keeps your cocktail nice and cold all night long! Get all the recipe details below and let’s dive in.

Ingredients:
Here is what you will need to make this apple cider mimosa recipe-
- Spiced Apple Cider (some for freezing and some for blending)
- Bottle of Champagne (or sparkling wine of choice)
- Apple Brandy (or sub with bourbon of choice)
- Maple Syrup (adds a little sweetness to finish everything off)
- Cinnamon Sugar Mixture (optional, to garnish the rim of the glasses)
Apple Cider Cocktail Instructions:
- Take the two cups of apple cider and freeze it in an ice cube mold. You can do this the night before or several days in advance. Plan ahead as needed!
- To blend the frozen apple cider, start by adding the frozen apple cider cubes to a large blender. Add in the additional cider, apple brandy, and maple syrup.
- Blend until the mixture is like a slushy texture. If it’s too thick you can add an additional splash or two of apple cider.
- Prep the glasses by dipping the rim into a cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Pour 2-3 oz. of champagne into the glass. Then top the rest of the cocktail off with the frozen apple cider mixture and they’re ready to serve!
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint for color or even a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
Expert Tips:
- Each cocktail is built in an individual glass. Keep the frozen pitcher of the apple cider slushy mixture in the fridge. You can reserve a few extra frozen cubes of cider as well to keep it a little more frozen! Serve as needed.
- No apple cider? Use a high quality apple juice and spice it up with cinnamon, nutmeg, and additional maple syrup to make the frozen apple mimosa.
- If you prefer to leave out the brandy or bourbon, add additional apple cider instead.
- Adjust the sweetness of the cocktail by adding more or less maple syrup (some ciders are sweeter than others).
- Make a smokier version of this drink with my smoke infused apple cider that can be made on the smoker or charcoal grill!
