Supplies Needed

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • Mayo: You can use regular or low fat mayo if you prefer! While you can also use homemade mayo, this recipe is easiest with your favorite store-bought brand.
  • Horseradish: Horseradish adds a bit of extra heat.
  • Dijon Mustard: Add a high quality dijon mustard for a depth of flavor!
  • Ketchup: For a touch of tangy flavor!
  • Garlic: Garlic adds a savory depth of flavor here! Fresh garlic is key.
  • Celery: For a bit of freshness!
  • Green Onions: These are subtle enough to not be overbearing in the sauce, but are a lovely addition.
  • Parsley: Fresh parsley is added
  • Spices: Add cayenne pepper, paprika, salt and pepper to spice things up to perfection!
  • Pickle Relish: Add pickle relish at the end, or capers if you prefer! This will add some texture and extra briny flavor.
  • Tabasco Sauce: For a bit of heat!

What To Serve With Creole Remoulade Sauce

This Creole remoulade sauce recipe is extremely versatile and so delicious with so many things! It goes really great with all things seafood, like air fryer crab cakes, smoked crab legs, coconut shrimp, or a shrimp po boy sandwich!

I would also use this sauce to dip all my sides. It would be delicious with crispy potatoes, roasted asparagus, or drizzled onto smoked potatoes!

And you don’t have to stop there! In addition to seafood, this sauce would go well with dill pickle brined pork chops or my grilled chicken nuggets recipe!

Tips & Variations

  • Add some heat! If you know anything about Creole and Cajun cuisine, you know it can be spicy! I like to add some extra heat at the end with some Tabasco sauce, but this is totally up to you. Taste it before adding it and adjust accordingly!
  • If you don’t have pickle relish on hand, you can dice up some pickles into small cubes! Or, use capers instead.
  • Store your Creole remoulade sauce recipe in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week! Keep in mind, the sooner you enjoy it the better, since we are adding fresh herbs here.
